L'Aumônerie

In the old part of the village, at the foot of the Combe de Lavaux, can be found the buildings of the Aumônerie -a kind of small abbey, which from the 9th Century belonged to the St Benigne Abbey in Dijon.

Very little remains of these buildings, apart from the cellars, which were built in the 11th and 12th centuries, under directions from Aumônier (Abbot) Halinard.

Continuing a nine hundred year tradition, Dugat-Py wines are aged from 18 to 24 months in these magnificent vaulted cellars.
